In the latest edition of Constromart Weekly Knowledge & Experience series Vol.3 No.4, we had the pleasure of hosting Mr. Paul Ocran, a green building specialist at the IFC, World Bank Group. The session focused on the crucial role of green building certification systems in addressing climate change and the significance of building efficiency in reducing environmental impact.
Mr. Ocran expressed his strong support for green building certification systems, particularly IFC’s EDGe, emphasizing their role in combating climate change by improving building efficiency in areas such as energy consumption, water usage, and carbon footprint. He also highlighted the economic potential of these systems, especially in the context of the emerging trend of constructing net-zero buildings.
