Project Name: Occupational Health and Safety Training for Informal Waste Workers – Greater Accra Resilient and Integrated Development (GARID) Project
The Greater Accra Resilient and Integrated Development (GARID) Project aims to enhance the socio-economic resilience of vulnerable communities in the Greater Accra region of Ghana. As part of this project, our company was contracted to provide occupational health and safety training to improve the working conditions and wellbeing of informal waste workers in the region.
The key activities carried out as part of the project implementation included:
- Assess the existing working conditions and occupational health risks faced by informal waste workers.
- Develop a comprehensive training curriculum on occupational health and safety tailored specifically for informal waste workers in the Greater Accra region.
- Provide essential PPEs.
- Facilitate the training.
Our key experts involved in this project implementation included: Lead Trainer/Facilitator, Occupational Health and Safety professionals, Sustainability and Safeguard Professionals.
