Constromart recently hosted an insightful session on Health and Safety Innovations in Construction and Fieldwork, led by our guest speaker, Bernita Adu Poku. The discussion examined how advancements in technology, leadership commitment, and proactive safety cultures are redefining workplace safety and operational excellence in the construction sector.
Bernita began by highlighting the high-risk nature of the construction industry, sharing striking statistics that revealed construction accounts for a significant portion of global occupational fatalities. She emphasized that in Ghana, construction-related incidents remain a pressing concern, calling for stronger enforcement of building codes, improved supervision, and comprehensive safety training.
