Constromart Engineers Participate in IRF Global Workshop on Sustainable Road Asset Management in Abuja

Constromart Africa continues to invest in building technical leadership and regional knowledge-sharing through strategic international engagements. Two engineers from the Transportation Planning & Engineering Unit, Ing. Godslove Duncan and Ing. Joseph Cobbinah, represented the company at the International Road Federation (IRF Global) Workshop on Managing Road Infrastructure Assets for Sustainability, held in Abuja, Nigeria.

The four-day intensive course, held under the theme “Managing Road Infrastructure Assets for Sustainability”, brought together over 250 participants from across Africa and beyond. It served as a platform for road authorities, engineers, and private sector leaders to explore cutting-edge techniques in road asset management with a focus on resilience, cost-effectiveness, and long-term sustainability.

Participants were taken through a wide range of modules designed to:

  • Understand parameters affecting roadway conditions, resilience, and sustainability
  • Learn modern inspection and data collection methodologies
  • Apply advanced pavement design models such as MEPDG
  • Utilize pavement management systems to optimize asset performance and extend lifecycle value.

Constromart Africa’s participation aligns with the firm’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the capacity of its engineering team in sustainable infrastructure delivery, particularly in the areas of transport network resilience, proactive maintenance planning, and smart asset lifecycle management. The training provided practical insights into how road infrastructure can be better designed, maintained, and managed in the face of increasing demands and climate-related challenges.

This engagement also supports Constromart’s broader mission of delivering smart, sustainable infrastructure solutions through continuous learning, international collaboration, and alignment with global best practices.

As a company committed to the SDGs and sustainable urban development, Constromart Africa remains proud to be part of shaping the future of Africa’s road networks through innovation, knowledge exchange, and professional excellence.
