We are proud to announce that Edward Melomey, Managing Director of Constromart Africa, has been appointed as a member of the FIDIC Business Practice Leadership Committee (BPLC) for the 2025–2028 term.
This prestigious appointment by the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) recognizes Edward’s sustained contributions to the consulting engineering industry in Ghana and beyond. The BPLC plays a critical role in shaping global best practices in business leadership across the infrastructure and engineering sectors.
As a member of the Committee, Edward will collaborate with industry leaders from around the world to:
- Promote excellence in business management and leadership;
- Provide guidance on ethics, project management, finance, marketing, HR, and fair competition;
- Support FIDIC’s global initiatives through research, publications, and strategic advisory;
- Advocate for sustainable and transparent procurement practices and risk management;
- Represent the interests of African professionals in the global consulting space.
Edward’s appointment follows years of active engagement in both national and international forums, including his role as a speaker and session moderator at the Ghana Consulting Engineers Association (GCEA) Annual Conferences and Chair of the GCEA Consulting Engineering Excellence Awards Committee in 2023.
This milestone reflects not only Edward’s individual achievements, but also the growing influence of African professionals within the global engineering landscape. His presence on the BPLC is a powerful step forward in driving inclusive and high-performing business practices across the industry.
