Constromart Africa Marks World Menstrual Hygiene Day with Community Outreach at Adjiringanor ADMA Basic School

As part of its ongoing commitment to empowering communities and advancing social responsibility, Constromart Africa organized a special outreach program at Adjiringanor ADMA Basic School to commemorate World Menstrual Hygiene Day 2025.

World Menstrual Hygiene Day, observed globally on May 28, highlights the importance of menstrual health and hygiene for women and girls. This year’s initiative by Constromart aimed to break the silence, challenge stigma, and promote dignity through education and mentorship.

The event featured interactive workshops led by female staff of Constromart and invited health professionals, addressing menstrual hygiene, self-care practices, and building self-esteem among girls. Students were given the opportunity to participate in open dialogue sessions, ask questions, and receive practical guidance in a safe and supportive environment.

A key highlight of the program was the distribution of menstrual hygiene packs, which included sanitary pads, soap, and educational materials to help students manage their menstrual health with confidence and dignity.

“Our goal is to equip young girls with the right knowledge and resources to take control of their health and well-being,” said a Constromart team member. “By creating open spaces for learning and conversation, we are taking meaningful steps toward a more inclusive and empowered future.”

The outreach reflects Constromart Africa’s broader commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 5 (Gender Equality). It also strengthens the company’s Social Impact pillar under its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy. Constromart Africa extends its appreciation to the school community, facilitators, and volunteers who contributed to the success of the program.
