Constromart Africa had the honour of hosting Dr. Nelson Ogunshakin OBE, a globally renowned civil engineer, infrastructure strategist, and transformational leader, for Vol. 7 No. 2 of our Knowledge & Experience Series. The session, titled “From Technical Expert to Industry Leader: The Journey and Lessons,” offered a compelling exploration of Dr. Ogunshakin’s career, delivering profound insights into the evolution of an engineering professional shaped by resilience, integrity, and visionary leadership.
Dr. Ogunshakin shared his journey, beginning from modest roots as a chain boy on a construction site in the UK to becoming a trusted advisor to governments, multilateral development banks, and global engineering institutions.
